We’re looking for a senior Cyber Security Analyst to join Pacific Smiles Group and play a key role in protecting our systems, data and patients.

This is a hands-on senior role where you’ll work across threat detection, vulnerability management, identity security and compliance—partnering closely with infrastructure and leadership teams to continuously uplift our cyber security posture.

About the Role

This role is a blend of technical security operations and strategic uplift, giving you ownership and variety across:

Threat Detection & Response

• Monitor and investigate security alerts across SIEM/XDR platforms

• Tune detection rules and improve signal quality

• Drive incidents through to resolution

Vulnerability Management

• Manage end-to-end vulnerability lifecycle

• Work with infrastructure teams to prioritise and remediate risks

• Align to Essential Eight requirements

Identity & Access Management

• Support privileged access and least-privilege design

• Enhance Conditional Access and MFA strategies

• Contribute to identity governance uplift

Compliance & Audit (GRC)

• Support audits, control testing and evidence collection

• Contribute to Essential Eight, PCI and broader compliance programs

• Maintain risk registers and documentation

Network Security

• Manage Fortinet environment (firewalls, SD-WAN, VPN)

• Conduct firewall rule reviews and optimisation

• Support secure Wi-Fi and certificate-based authentication

This is a true end-to-end security role where you’ll influence both day-to-day operations and long-term strategy.

About You

You’re a hands-on security professional who can operate independently and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You’ll bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in a Cyber Security Analyst (or similar) role

• Strong experience with SIEM/XDR platforms

• Solid knowledge of the Microsoft security stack (Entra ID, PIM, Conditional Access, Intune)

• Experience with Fortinet technologies (FortiGate, VPN, SD-WAN)

• Understanding of ACSC Essential Eight and security frameworks

• Experience supporting audits, compliance or risk management

• Strong written communication and documentation skills

Nice to have:

• PCI-DSS or ISO 27001 exposure

• Scripting (PowerShell) for automation

• Certifications (AZ-500, SC-200/300, CCSP or similar)
