City of Parramatta has an exciting contract opportunity of up to 6 months for a Senior Event Producer to join its vibrant Major Events and Festivals team.

About the role 

This position is responsible fordelivering iconic public events like NYE, Australia Day, and Parramatta Lanes, whilst supporting strategic partnerships and community-led celebrations. As Senior Event Producer, you’ll lead the creation of high-impact entertainment experiences that enhance the City’s reputation and engage diverse audiences.

This role will balance out-of-hours work requirements and daily work priorities within Council’s flexible workplace policies.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the planning and execution of large-scale public events aligned with Council’s strategic direction, ensuring high-quality outcomes through effective project management.   
  •  Drive the event production, operations, and logistics for Council-led and partnered events, ensuring effective delivery through efficient planning, stakeholder coordination, and integration of inclusive and innovative practices. Manage internal teams, contractors, and external partners to deliver seamless event experiences, while fostering strong relationships across Council and the community.

 

About You 

We are looking for someone with: 

  • Tertiary qualifications such as a degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, Hospitality (or related discipline) or another relevant qualification combined with a significant amount of relevant event production/programming experience in a project lead capacity (typically 5 years plus). 
  • Demonstrated experience planning and delivering successful large public or private events.
  • Strong understanding of the production aspects of large-scale public events including the provision of sound and lighting, staging, site management, risk management and mitigation, public safety, traffic, security and crowd management. 
  • Strong time and project management abilities to effectively oversee multiple concurrent projects while balancing competing priorities and tight deadlines.

 

What’s on offer 

This is a term contract opportunity for up to 6 months, covering parental leave. 

This position offers an attractive remuneration from $113,019 plus 12% superannuation.
