Downer Professional Services comprises of three business units our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice, and Team Downer, which partners with CASG and NSSG as a major service provider to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across Defence and National Security.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:
- Lead security assurance activities across sustainment and support elements of the LAND 4140 BMS capability
- Verify system security requirements and provide technical assurance for certification and accreditation activities
- Review, develop and maintain system security documentation, including certification artefacts
- Conduct threat modelling, vulnerability assessments and security risk assessments
- Contribute to system security architecture and integration activities
- Ensure compliance with Defence security frameworks including ISM, PSPF and DSPF
- Support Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management (CSCRM) activities
- Analyse functional and non‑functional performance specifications and update relevant documentation
- Review and manage security requirements using DOORS and associated artefacts
- Work closely with the Security Manager, Project Managers and Defence stakeholders to deliver secure outcomes
What You’ll Bring
- Strong understanding of Defence security frameworks, including ISM, PSPF and DSPF
- Demonstrated experience supporting system certification and accreditation activities
- Proven ability to analyse, assess and manage cyber and system security risks
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence technical and non‑technical audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation
- Postgraduate qualifications in Cyber Security, ICT Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 2 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
