About the Role

MSS Security is seeking an experienced Security Supervisor to lead operations at the Nyaal Banyule Geelong Convention & Exhibition Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily security functions, leading a team of officers and ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer service are maintained across the site.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Oversee and coordinate daily security operations, ensuring all officers are deployed effectively and performing their duties in line with site procedures.

• Supervise access control, CCTV operations, contractor management, incident reporting, audits and general control room activities.

• Provide leadership, guidance and support to the security team.

• Act as the first point of escalation for incidents, emergencies and operational issues, ensuring appropriate responses and reporting.

• Monitor and respond to alarm activations and oversee incident management processes.

• Ensure all workplace incidents, hazards and compliance requirements are reported and managed in accordance with company procedures.

• Act as Chief Warden when required or in the absence of the Security Manager, demonstrating strong emergency management capability.

• Liaise with the client, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth day to day operations of the centre.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the security industry.

• Demonstrated ability to manage teams, resolve conflict and respond to incidents effectively.

• Solid understanding of security systems, site procedures and emergency management.

Requirements:

• Full Australian working rights.

• Valid Victorian Security Licence with the control room subcategory.

• Valid Victorian Driver Licence or reliable transport.

• Valid First Aid & CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain).

• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 0800-1600.
