Description

We currently have an opportunity for a Security Manager to join our Government & Integrated Facilities Management team and play a key role in enhancing safe, secure and people‑centred environments across a diverse operational portfolio. Reporting to the Contract Director, you'll help deliver high‑quality outcomes that support our essential services.

 

What You’ll Do 

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

  • Lead the governance, assurance and continuous improvement of security operations across multiple sites. 

  • Provide expert advice on risk, incident management and public‑facing security matters, ensuring compliance with legislation and Downer protocols. 

  • Support operational readiness during major events, peak periods and disruptive incidents, fostering calm and coordinated responses. 

  • Partner closely with internal teams, emergency services and external stakeholders to strengthen safety outcomes and client confidence. 

  • Champion innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance security through technology, data insights and best‑practice approaches.

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Demonstrated experience managing security operations across large, complex or multi‑site environments. 

  • Strong capability in stakeholder engagement, client advisory, and collaborative problem‑solving. 

  • Robust understanding of risk management, incident response, compliance, and audit processes. 

  • Qualifications in Security Risk Management (Certificate IV or Diploma desirable) and the ability to obtain/maintain relevant security clearances. 

  • Calm, solutions‑focused decision‑making with high personal integrity and professionalism.
