Security Engineer – Imperva WAF & Threat Management

About the client:
Our client is a leading consultancy delivering enterprise-grade security solutions across regulated environments. This role supports the deployment and optimisation of web application firewalls, database firewalls, and threat detection platforms.

About the role:
We are seeking a Security Engineer with hands-on experience in Imperva WAF, RSA Archer, Database Firewalls (DBF), and RSA NetWitness. You’ll be responsible for managing threat detection platforms, supporting Zero Trust initiatives, and collaborating across teams to maintain compliance and resolve incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and tune Imperva WAF policies to mitigate web-based threats.
• Administer RSA Archer for GRC workflows and compliance reporting.
• Deploy and monitor Database Firewalls for anomaly detection.
• Use RSA NetWitness for threat investigation and log analysis.
• Integrate Cisco FMC and Cisco ISE for perimeter and endpoint protection.
• Support Microsoft GSA ZTNA as part of Zero Trust strategy.
• Collaborate with vulnerability management teams to triage and remediate findings.
• Handle problem tickets and SLA tracking via ServiceNow.
• Develop SOPs, incident reports, and technical documentation.
• Liaise with audit and compliance teams to meet regulatory requirements.

Required Experience:

• 3–5 years in cybersecurity or security engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with at least 3 of the following: Imperva WAF, RSA Archer, RSA NetWitness, Database Firewall.
• Familiarity with Cisco FMC, Cisco ISE, and ZTNA solutions.
• Experience with ServiceNow and vulnerability remediation workflows.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, web threats, and secure architectures.

Desirable Qualifications:

• CISSP, CEH, Security+, or equivalent certifications.
