About the Team
We are currently seeking two Safety Advisors (STEM) to provide specialist health and safety expertise across the STEM Faculties (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). You will support a coordinated and effective approach to managing health and safety risks across diverse STEM environments and contribute to a proactive, positive safety culture.
These positions offer a mix of strategic and hands‑on work, including risk management, incident response, training delivery and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll use strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills to drive practical, sustainable safety outcomes.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager, Safety Operations, you’ll work closely with academics, researchers and technical teams to implement and improve safety programs, ensuring compliance with legislation and the UOW Safety Management System.
In this hands‑on advisory role, you will:
