Responsible for leading the implementation of the organisation’s Mental Health Roadmap, with a strong focus on practical, outcomes-driven delivery across diverse healthcare settings.


This role plays a critical leadership and support function in embedding psychosocial risk management practices and building capability across hospitals, services, and functions. Success in this role will require the ability to translate strategy into pragmatic, fit-for-purpose solutions that work on the ground, while maintaining a balanced, organisation-wide perspective.


Working in close partnership with local OHS teams, HR practitioners, and operational leaders, the Psychosocial Health and Safety Specialist will provide expert guidance, coaching, tools, and frameworks to ensure consistent and effective delivery of evidence-based mental health and psychosocial strategies, in alignment with legislative obligations and organisational priorities.

We are open for this opportunity to be permanent part or full-time, minimum requirements will be 0.5 FTE and hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

The Position

  • Lead implementation of the Mental Health Roadmap across hospitals, services and functions

  • Translate strategic priorities into practical approaches that align with clinical and operational environments

  • Work closely with OHS, HR and operational leaders to support the identification and management of psychosocial risks

  • Build capability of leaders to meet their WHS obligations and support psychologically safe workplaces

  • Develop and deliver tools, training and resources that are relevant and usable in practice

  • Support teams to implement effective and proportionate risk controls

  • Provide clear, practical advice to leaders and stakeholders

  • Work collaboratively across functions to support consistent and aligned approaches

  • Apply a balanced perspective, considering the needs of all stakeholders.

  • Use data and insights to inform actions and support ongoing improvement

About You
You are aligned to our Mission and Values and bring a genuine commitment to creating safe, respectful and sustainable workplaces.


You will hold a tertiary qualification in occupational health and safety, organisational development, psychology or a related field, and bring a strong understanding of psychosocial hazards and relevant WHS frameworks (e.g. ISO 45003, Safe Work Australia model code, and applicable legislation).
You have experience delivering mental health or psychosocial risk initiatives in large, complex organisations, and are comfortable working across both strategy and day-to-day operations.


You know how to turn concepts into practical action, supporting leaders, OHS and HR teams to apply approaches that work in real environments.


You build strong relationships, communicate with clarity, and bring sound judgement, providing balanced advice that considers caregivers, leaders and organisational priorities.

We can offer you.

  • Salary: $154,196 to $171,339 per annum, plus 12% superannuation

  • Permanent full-time or part-time (minimum 0.5 FTE ) opportunity

  • Based from our Perth CBD or Melbourne CBD offices.

  • Central CBD location, close to bus and train stations
