HSSE Project Manager (Environmental & Safety Assurance)

DP World is seeking a skilled professional to oversee HSSE compliance across projects. In this role, you will ensure contractor activities align with company standards, contract conditions, and legal requirements, while providing assurance that all environmental and safety plans are effectively implemented and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring the highest HSSE standards across all project activities 
• Ensure compliance with DP World policies, contractual obligations, and all regulatory requirements 
• Provide HSSE assurance through audits, inspections, and governance activities, ensuring effective risk management by contractors and project teams 
• Monitor, track, and drive closure of corrective actions, reducing repeat and systemic non-conformances 
• Review incident investigations, ensure timely reporting, and implement measures to prevent recurrence 
• Maintain and oversee the project HSSE Risk Register, ensuring risks are actively managed
• Prepare HSSE reports, analyse trends, and present performance insights to senior leadership 
• Lead HSSE meetings and ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and audit readiness
• Engage with regulators and authorities to secure approvals and maintain compliance 
• Support procurement and onboarding processes by embedding HSSE requirements and assessing contractor capability 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage safety risks in high-risk environments and ensure safe project delivery 
• Collect and report safety and environmental data, including carbon emissions, to relevant platforms

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in HSE or related discipline; certified auditor preferred
• 10+ years’ HSSE experience on major construction projects, ideally in ports/terminals
• Experience in assurance, compliance, and working with regulatory authorities (e.g. EPA, Border Force)
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills
• Strategic thinker with the ability to manage priorities and deliver outcomes
• Proficient in MS Office and effective in team-based environments
