Base salary $95,361 - $102,302 + 17% superannuation (HEW Level 6)
Located at our vibrant St Lucia Campus
We’re looking for a Health and Safety Systems Advisor to support the effective operation and continuous improvement of UQ’s Health, Safety and Wellness (HSW) systems. This role sits within a small, collaborative team and plays a key part in ensuring systems, data and processes are accurate, reliable and user-friendly across the University.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders to maintain system performance, deliver reporting and insights, and provide hands-on support to users. Your work will directly contribute to safer, healthier workplaces through strong data integrity and well-functioning systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Administer and maintain HSW systems, databases and reporting tools
Ensure accurate and timely processing, validation and analysis of HSW data
Develop reports, dashboards and insights to support operational and strategic decision-making
Provide system support, training and guidance to staff across the University
You’re someone who enjoys working with systems and data, and you take pride in making things run smoothly and efficiently and have a keen eye for detail. You’re naturally organised, solutions-focused and confident in supporting others.
You will demonstrate:
Experience in system administration and managing data for reporting purposes
Strong attention to detail with the ability to validate and improve data quality
Ability to analyse information and present clear, meaningful insights
Strong communication skills, including developing reports, guides and training materials
Experience improving processes, systems or workflows
A collaborative approach with a strong customer service mindset
Desirable:
Knowledge of health, safety and wellness environments
Experience with data visualisation tools
