About the role

Ideally based in Canberra but open to multiple locations, the Director of Security – Defence Delivery is accountable for the strategic governance, assurance, and regulatory compliance of protective, personnel, and information security across all Defence and Federal Government engagements within Fujitsu.

Reporting to the Head of Defence Delivery, this role operates with delegated executive authority as the appointed Chief Security Officer for Defence, responsible for ensuring Fujitsus ongoing compliance with Defence Industry Security Program and Federal security obligations

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the senior security authority for Defence Delivery, reporting directly to the Head of Defence Delivery.
  • Provide strategic security advice to Defence leadership, delivery executives, and program heads.
  • Exercise delegated authority to enforce security requirements and direct resources where required.
  • Establish and maintain a strong security culture across Defence delivery environments.
  • Protective security policies are implemented and enforced across Defence and Federal Government accounts.
  • All DISP obligations for Fujitsu's membership level are met and maintained.
  • A robust system of security governance, risk management, oversight, and assurance is in place.
  • DISP reporting obligations are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Official, sensitive, and classified materials are protected in accordance with DSPF requirements at all times.

Requirements and Experience:

  • 10+ years experience working within Defence national security agencies or defence industry environments.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of:
    • Defence Industry Security Program (DISP)
    • Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF)
    • Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
    • Personnel, physical, and information security requirements within Defence or Federal Government environment. 

Australian Government security clearance (minimum NV2; higher as required)
